Learn&nbsp;more details about the Save the Internet Act&nbsp;<a href=\"#anchor2\">below<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.votervoice.net\/Scripts\/mxEAAAAAAAA\/Plugin.js?app=campaigns&#038;id=90098&#038;hideAlert=true\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a name=\"anchor2\"><\/a><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-71598566-5c69-f335-9f6a-7e747e7ce037\">Despite public outrage and Congressional pressure, Chairman Ajit Pai\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pkoldstg.wpengine.com\/press-release\/fcc-abandons-consumer-protection-responsibility-with-net-neutrality-repeal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">succeeded in his repeal<\/a>\u00a0of vital net neutrality rules at the Federal Communications Commission\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/news-events\/events\/2017\/12\/december-2017-open-commission-meeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last open meeting<\/a>\u00a0of 2017. This attack on the open internet also rolled back Title II classification of broadband and abdicated the FCC\u2019s regulatory authority over the internet to the Federal Trade Commission. Since the repeal, providers have <a href=\"https:\/\/pkoldstg.wpengine.com\/news-blog\/blogs\/broadband-providers-are-quietly-taking-advantage-of-an-internet-without-net-neutrality-protections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">quietly taken advantage of an internet without protection<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We may have lost the vote at the FCC, but the fight isn\u2019t over yet. On April 10, thanks to public pressure, the House of Representatives <a href=\"https:\/\/pkoldstg.wpengine.com\/press-release\/public-knowledge-applauds-house-for-passing-save-the-internet-act-to-restore-net-neutrality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">passed the Save the Internet Act<\/a>&nbsp;to restore the FCC\u2019s Open Internet Order that Chairman Pai repealed.
