We want you to be among the first to know about the return of one of Public Knowledge\u2019s signature events: Emerging Tech<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emerging Tech 2023 will take place on Monday, May 22 at Georgetown University’s downtown campus in Washington, DC<\/strong>. This year, we\u2019ll be talking about some of the buzziest technologies dominating the headlines: generative AI, XR technologies, and the decentralized web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re inviting experts from across the country to discuss the promise, the potential pitfalls, and the policy implications of these emerging and fast-moving technologies. After the policy discussions, join us for a showcase and reception where you can test out the latest technologies and get to know the people driving the next iteration of the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n

Event Details: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date<\/strong>: Monday, May 22nd<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time<\/strong>: All day (Doors open at 10:30 am and close at 7.30 pm)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location<\/strong>: 500 First Street NW, Washington, D.C.<\/a> On the 9th Floor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parking Options<\/strong>: For your convenience, there are several parking options available near the venue. Here are a few nearby parking facilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Colonial Parking: <\/strong>Located at 18 E St NW, Washington, D.C<\/a><\/strong>., this garage offers secure parking throughout the day. It is a short walk away from the event venue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. You can also park on the street, I would suggest giving yourself 10\/20 minutes prior to the time you would like to be at the venue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Public Transportation<\/strong>: If you prefer to use public transportation, the event venue is easily accessible. Here are the recommended options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Metro: Take the Red Line to Union Station<\/strong> and exit at First Street. From there, it’s a 7-minute walk to the venue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Bus: Bus 96<\/strong> stops near the venue. Disembark at Massachusetts Ave NE & First St NE<\/strong> and make a short 6-minute walk to reach the event location.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      We encourage you to plan your transportation in advance and allow sufficient time for travel, as the event will begin promptly at 11:00 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
